If you see a bird that has collided with a building on campus:
- Step 1 Take a photo of the bird in front of the building, and take a close up ID-quality picture of the bird.
Is the bird alive?
Contain the bird in an unwaxed paper bag or a small cardboard box. If using a box, poke a few small holes in it.
Put the bird in a dark, warm, quiet space away from pets. Avoid talking to or handling the bird. Never give a bird water or food.
Immediately contact Toronto Wildlife Centre through their online Request for Assistance Form.
